OBERG BROTHERS RANCH
HOMESTEAD PRIVATE LAND HUNTS

We are now offering four day hunting opportunities on our private lands under the ranch name "Oberg Brothers Herefords LLC ".

Our ranch covers an extensive area on the slopes of Mt. Phoebe in the Okanogan Highlands and up into the North Siwash watershed. Our land borders the National Forest for several miles. Both whitetail and mule deer inhabit this area. The elevation ranges from 3000' to 4000'. The north half is dotted with farm fields and is largely whitetail country; the south half is steeper range land and is predominantly mule deer.

Here's the deal! You bring your camper, fifth wheel or whatever and park it in designated areas that I have set up and hunt that area for four days. I cannot guarantee that you will get your deer but ... all hunting packages will receive a quarter beef from our ranch !! The quarters will weigh approximately 150 lbs. hanging. The beef is finished with a 100 day grain and hayledge ration and is dry aged for tenderness and flavor. We start butchering in January.

The hunting areas range in size from 300 to 700 acres, and are mostly a combination of woodlands and open fields or open hillsides. The camping sites are mostly undeveloped. You need to be self-contained. I am working on one site right now and it will have power and water. The general season is in October. Whitetail is any buck, and mule deer is a three-point minimum. There is an early and a late archery season in this area as well as a muzzleloader season.

If you bring a vehicle to travel around in you must keep it on the main roads so as not to spread noxious weeds. I can help pack out the deer with my rigs if needed. The area that I assign to you will be dependent upon the package you choose and that area will be set aside for your hunting group only, for the four days of your hunt. Hunters are responsible for obtaining licenses and permits and following the rules that apply.
